I’ve been charged with a DUI or DWI, what should I expect?

I’ve been charged with a routine moving violation, what should I expect?
For routine moving violations check your ticket carefully to see if the “Court Appearance” box located near the bottom has been checked off, if so, you are required to appear where indicated. If it has not been checked and you wish to plead not guilty, you must notify the court of your intention to plea not guilty within 7 days of the date of the ticket. You will then be assigned a court date at which time the Prosecutor may make an offer to your attorney to settle your case. If you decided to retain Francis as your attorney, he will negotiate on your behalf to obtain the best deal for you. Discovery will be provided to your attorney upon his request. If an agreement cannot be reached with the prosecutor, the matter will proceed to trial.
